Fellow mentors of young people:

Today, Impact NW is announcing the launch of Camp Legacy.

It has been a long time coming, but we are positioned now to move with the Lord's direction and mighty hand to build the camp many of us have dreamed about for years.

The name for the camp will be "Camp Legacy".   The name reflects our vision and purpose: to build a spiritual legacy in the next generation of young men and women.

We have decided to initiate plans to pursue acquiring the 51 acre property at Cabin Creek (exit 63 off I-90 Snoqualmie Pass). After much prayer and discussion, it was determined the Lord is directling us to begin with  a little smaller piece of land, but one that has full amenities to begin activities immediately.  This Cabin Creek area has other large parcels of land that could (and hopefully would) be added at a later time. With this piece of land, it would be possible to move all Royal Ranger functions to this location immediately; it is that ready to go!

Advantages:

1. Easier access to more outposts

2. Surface water for swimming and other water sports

3. Elimination of the wind problem at the current location we are using

4. Total control over calendar - RR gets FIRST choice in selecting dates for events.

5. Able to build facilities to fit RR needs.

We are also creating a Facebook Group for Camp Legacy.

The next step is we are building a list of resource people who believe in the vision and will partner with us to make Camp Legacy a reality. 

We are needing to find:

* Financial partners - Christian people of means who will underwright the vision financially through substantial donation.

* Promotions - graphic arts, printer, web design and maintenance, video creation, fund raising.

* Legal advice, Insurance, CPA.

* Construction / skilled labor.

just to name a few.

We have asked the Lord for His direction, and believe He has given it to us.  We still need to pray for daily interaction, wisdom and grace as we work toward our goal. We believe the Lord desires to show Himself in a dramatic way. Let us partner with Him to build a Legacy in the lives of young people winning many to the Lord.

If you feel so led, volunteer yourself, or talk with someone you know about lending their talents to the team.

Be alert to a possible Property Visit where we go walk on the land to "kick the tires", and see how it fits.
